ke JimAA :Agree! With the development of a little skill, the cane and other implements can be brought down of a backside equally in area but with different left/right intensity.
ke JimAA :I think those five strokes focused her mind on what she did or didn't do. My preference is that strokes of any implement are delivered in the traditional sets of six. With a bit of luck she didn't learn her lesson and will be back for more harsher strokes.
